Giselle Anna Cairns & The Scottish Link
I like my name, Giselle Anna Cairns, very much as it is a quite rare combination of romantique—continental elegance and Scottish—Gaelic tradition. And as the wonderful surname "Cairns", for me, stands for "care" & "guidance", I do believe that it enables me to be who I truly am, and to help those who feel "lost at the piano", without (or even with) a piano teacher. 
I took the colours of my website and designed my very own master tartan for "Cairns‘ Style"—and a variation with fewer colours for each key area.
Just like a beautifully composed piece of music, every single thread in these Scottish patterns is harmoniously woven in and represents the core pillars of my pedagogical work.
Cairns' Style & The Silent Revolution
I am a piano teacher with more than ten years of teaching experience and hold the ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5 credential with Distinction.
Back in 2018, I started to get more and more dissatisfied with piano fingering provided by magazines, editors, and scores found on the Internet. Therefore, I began to develop more suitable piano fingering for my students which led to my specialising in ergonomic piano pedagogy.
As I will also always question time-proven methods, regardless of custom and tradition, I invented the Visual KeyScales—to make scales played with both hands as easy as possible—and the Diamond-GPS—to make your playing as smooth as it can be. The latter will be one of the main topics of the videos and can ultimately be found in the scores.
